Karine Thate joined the Museum of Science in the Strategic Projects department in 2009. Her primary role is public education and outreach on the topic of nanoscale science and technology. She develops educational materials, gives live presentations, delivers podcasts, runs science communication workshops for early career researchers, collaborates with partners, and supports our group’s efforts to inform the public about the nanoworld.
She studied Biology at Princeton University and Science Education at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Previously, she worked as a middle school science teacher and a market research consultant.
