Dr. Joey Mead is a Professor in the Plastics Engineering Department at UMass Lowell and Deputy Director of NSF Nano scale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nano manufacturing (www.uml.edu/nano).

Rubber technology, thermoplastic elastomers, design, properties and processing of elastomers, nano materials.

Elastomers, thermoplastic elastomers, nano manufacturing, electrospinning, mechanical behavior of elastomers and polymers, interfacial properties of fiber reinforced composites, structure-property relationships, recycling of rubber and elastomeric barrier materials.
